MSC accepts all costs of cleaning MSC Zoe containers

As of January 6, 2019, MSC had advised them to take over more clean-up work in German and Dutch waters and beaches directly after the recent container spill from the cargo ship.

MSC is working closely with a number of salvage companies to add impetus to the response and salvage efforts that began on 2 January 2019. 
This business is coordinated by (Ardent Global), a single professional response company designated by MSC and its insurance company, to centralize and supervise cleaning work, and in some places MSC has taken over contracts initiated by local authorities.

Current clean-up activities are concentrated on the coastline of the Netherlands and Germany, particularly on the islands of Frizland, such as Tliechelling,Ameland and Schiermonnikoog, which are the main areas affected and goods have been washed ashore. 
Professional equipment is used in the cleaning process, such as speedboats equipped with hydraulic remote control grabbing, for picking up drifting containers and sonar tracking ships for underwater recovery.
 
It is reported that about eight containers have been collected using industrial rakes on Teleshalin Island alone, which are used to scan the area and facilitate detailed follow-up cleaning.

MSC reported that some of the materials collected from the Frizland coast had been accepted by MSC for all costs of cleaning MSC Zoe containers, 4 which had been transferred for recovery and used as building insulation materials. 

MSC hopes that all materials collected from the island will be sent to the mainland for storage and disposal as part of the official clean-up. 
Although MSC was unable to provide detailed information on the goods due to the confidentiality of the customer / company, they assured the public that they were not aware of any public hazards to the goods, including organic peroxide containers.

Commendably, in this case, MSC may be one of the fastest responses, and MSC has assured the Dutch and German authorities and the public that the company will pay for the full cost of the clean-up.
