Soren Toft exits Maersk with immediate effect!

(Maersk Line), a Maersk shipping company, announced that its chief operating officer, Soren Toft, had decided to leave the company.

"Toft has decided to look for opportunities outside the company and will leave with immediate effect," the Danish container shipping company said in a statement. " 

In the meantime, the responsibilities of the COO will be assumed by CEO Soren Skou. 

Maersk said the subsequent executive board would consist of Soren Skou, Carolina Dybeck Happe, chief financial officer, Vincent Clerc, chief commercial officer and Morten Engelstoft, chief executive of Maersk Wharf.
